BCAS members celebrate 80th Anniversary in style February 18th 2011 200 BCAS members and guests attended the BCAS 80th Anniversary Ball held at the Savoy in London to celebrate the Societies Anniversary and everyone had a great evening. The ball was a huge success and it presented BCAS in the best possible light.
BCAS members and guests were joined by colleagues from Europe and the USA with Paul Frigne, President of Pneurop and Mr Thomas Kaeser Pneurop Council member plus Dan Ryan and Duane Bookshar representing the Compressed Air and Gas Institute of America.
With a circus theme for the evening, the entrance to the Lancaster Ballroom was decorated with red and gold scenic draping to transform it into a Big Top tented entrance flanked by two silk flambeaux whilst the Ballroom itself was uplit in gold and purple with stunning moving lights creating spotlight effects as guests entered the room before changing colours to set the scene.
During and after the four course meal, top Circus Acts from Billy Smarts Circus performed amazing physical acts including juggling, magic and Arial acts.
