Air Safe Register discussed at spring conference
April 12th 2011

The Air Safe Register was among the issues discussed at the BCAS Spring Conference.

With more than 70 delegates registered and 6 speakers, members said it was one of the best yet. This event is free for members and before the conference started, BCAS Members and guests enjoyed a networking breakfast.

Proposed accreditation scheme

Benjamin Martin of the Carbon Trust gave a presentation of a proposed accreditation scheme that reflected the input from BCAS members at an earlier meeting. The scheme will address four industry sectors and the compressed air sector incorporates the AirSAFEregister principles.

Other speakers at the Conference inlcuded Virtual College on the eLearning courses available to BCAS Members, and Business Magnet on the benefits for BCAS members with the online directory.

Referenceline gave an overview of the recent developments and enhancements to the airSAFEregister website and Edson Evers gave BCAS members an insight to the new PR and Marketing campaign about to start.

In addition, BCAS gave members an overview of increased membership, industry statistics and activity from the society.

The 2011 Autumn Conference will be held on Wednesday 7 September at the Heritage Motor Museum in Warwickshire. Please contact the BCAS office for details on this and membership opportunities.
