High efficiency/low cost filter housings February 15th 2009 The new range of compressed air filters from Hi-line has been designed with economy and efficiency in mind. High quality aluminium is used in the production of these housings and a special feature of these die-cast filters is that both external and internal surfaces are Alu-Chrome treated before a tough epoxy paint finish is baked on in 'compressed air blue' (RAL5015) to give extra long life in the harshest of conditions.
Designed for the removal of oil, water, particulate and gaseous aerosols from compressed air , these contaminates are taken out by a variety of grade of filter elements, using 'patented' filter media which is manufactured in a pleated form to give maximum efficiency, particle retention and a long service life, with a very low differential pressure.
Condensate (oil / water) is removed via a highly efficient robust brass drain assembly, which has built in the capability to attach 6mm nylon condensate removal line. Electronic and pneumatics differential pressure gauges are available as an option. Hi-line has deliberately used standard filter elements / housing connection technology at the request of its distributors and agents. Many compressed air equipment companies are now trying to 'lock in' customers by fitting difficult necks and seals on to standard filters in a bid to ensure the end user goes back to the OEM. Hi-line believe in ease of use and total inter-changeability.
Hi-line Filter Grades
Grade 1 Particle removal 5 µm (99.99%)
Grade 2 Particle removal 3 µm (99.999%)
Grade 2 Oil removal 0.5 µm (99.9999%)
Grade 4 Oil removal 0.01 µm (99.99999%)
Grade 5 Oil / Aerosol Removal – Activated Carbon 0.003mg / m3
All elements are validated and provide the highest standard ISO 8573.1 quality compressed air.
The threaded aluminium housings are available in ½” BSP up to 4” BSP with flow rates from 42 Nm/h to 3672 Nm/h.
