'Farm to fork' compressor lubricants
February 04th 2008

Batoyle Freedom Group has re-launched Typhon FS46, a high performance, fully synthetic food safe screw compressor lubricant which is NSF H1 approved, meets the requirements of the Food Grade CoP and guidelines specified by the FDA.

Typhon FS46 is part of Batoyle's high performance compressor lubricant product range which has recently been developed to incorporate the latest in performance enhancing additive technologies. Legislation has placed great demands on equipment operating in sensitive industries – such as the food and drink, and the medical and pharmaceutical sectors – to ensure that potential contamination of the end product does not pose a health & safety risk to consumers.

For the compressed air sector Typhon FS46 – a fully synthetic food grade lubricant – has been specifically formulated for use with rotary screw compressors. Opting for high performance synthetic based food grade lubricants offers a number of added benefits not realised by mineral oil based counterparts. These include high thermal stability, deposit control and lubrication characteristics which in turn lead to reduced downtime, improved production efficiency and extended equipment life.

Typhon FS46 assists users in meeting the lubricant requirements of the BCAS/BRC Food Grade Code of Practice. It is NSF (National Sanitation Foundation) H1 approved and meets the guidelines specified by FDA 21 CFR 178.3570 for lubricants with incidental food contact.

Typhon Food Safe is also available in a range of ISO viscosities from 32 through to 150.
