Reduce your compressed air system carbon footprint
August 18th 2008

For a limited period, only in the UK, Parker domnick hunter is fitting its Dewpoint Dependent Switching (DDS) energy management system free of charge on all new orders for PNEUDRI MIDIPLUS, MX heatless and DH heat regenerative compressed air dryers.

DDS is a proven energy management system developed to save significantly on the amount of energy consumed during the drying of compressed air.

With a standard adsorption dryer, the energy consumed assumes the dryer is operating at 100% of its design capacity. Inclusion of the DDS energy management system ensures the energy consumed is directly proportional to the amount of water vapour entering the dryer.

Compressed air dryers rarely operate at maximum capacity and an example of the energy savings available can be seen below:

Compressor installed: 160kW at 7.5 bar g

Dryer installed: PNEUDRI MX107 heatless dryer operating at 70% capacity

Typical annual energy savings: Up to 139,590 KW of energy every year.

Additionally, every domnick hunter PNEUDRI dryer is protected with OIL-X EVOLUTION pre- and after filtration, the most energy efficient compressed air filters in the world which, when compared to ordinary filtration, can increase the energy savings by a further 58,120kW.

The combination of energy savings equates to 197,710kW of electrical energy and an annual environmental saving of 85,406kg of CO2. Even greater savings will be made during periods of lower demand.
