The Ingersoll Rand two stage range (4 to 14 bar(g)) offers the most energy-efficient 75-160 kW air compressor package and can operate in ambient temperatures of up to 46°C without any performance de-rate. Its Specific Energy Requirement (SER) is best-in-class, using on average 11% less electricity compared to competitive offerings. The fixed speed compressor also includes a power conservation system in order to limit the unloaded running time. Low compression ratios and airend speeds provide an average time between overhauls of 50,000 hours.

NIRVANA TRUE VARIABLE SPEED DRIVE

One of the unique features of the Nirvana range of compressors is the HPM motor technology. This gives the machine the ability to have unlimited stops and starts. Induction motors have restricted number of start and stop cycles and therefore VSD compressors with induction motors need to operate with high turn downs.

The results is that they operate where the compressor and motor is most inefficient. Ingersoll Rand’s Nirvana design switches the machine off when the demand is in the inefficient zone.
