Why choose a BCAS member?
August 02nd 2007

BCAS has developed a new BCAS Member Code of Conduct to increase customer satisfaction and provide tangible differentiation for BCAS members.

From 1st July all BCAS members must comply with the Code of Conduct. It promotes a minimum requirement in ethical business practices, best practice in design, selection, supply, installation, service and maintenance. BCAS members will be committed to quality management systems and continuous staff training.

Trading Standards recently reported that credibility is the single most important issue for customers when choosing a firm to supply products or services. Indeed 53% of all choices were for businesses that customers already knew or had been recommended by someone they trust.

So that its members can be promoted, on the basis of their reputation as expressed by their customers, allowing consumers to make more informed choices, BCAS has taken the initiative to work with an independent third party that manages a Trusted Trader Scheme to develop what will be the first of its kind for the UK compressed air and vacuum market.

The BCAS Trusted Trader Scheme complements the Code of Conduct to promote the credibility and professionalism of BCAS members as rated by their customers. The advantages to all compressed air and vacuum users of using a BCAS member will be the reassurance that they have been endorsed by others users.
