BCAS training update

BCAS offers five courses and can additionally provide bespoke on-site training on request.

PRESSURE MEGAMAN & WRITTEN SCHEMES

Wed 19 September, Gloucester

This provides an invaluable overview of the relevant UK and European pressure systems legislation. It allows compressed air users to assess their own written schemes, and enables distributors to offer a written scheme service to their customers.

WORKING SAFELY WITH COMPRESSED AIR

A one hour internet based course developed to specifically address safety issues of hand held air tools, including blow guns. Covers hazards arising from various air tools the need for Personal Protective Equipment, employer/employee responsibilities.

CERTIFICATE IN COMPRESSED AIR TECHNOLOGY (via e-learning)

This e-learning course is relevant to anyone working with compressed air for whom it would be useful to improve his/her understanding of the basic principles of compressed air production and use, as well as the components which constitute a compressed air system.

THE DIPLOMA IN COMPRESSED AIR MANAGEMENT

A distance learning course of 10 modules, aimed at individuals with compressed air experience, and a broad knowledge of compressed air technology and a position of responsibility within their company.

COMPETENT EXAMINAR

A five day course, run on demand in Sheffield, for compressed air engineers leading to a BCAS certificate in compressed air system testing and examination. It provides both knowledge based and practical ”hands on” non-destructive testing techniques required for those who conduct examinations required by the Pressure Systems Regulations 2000:128 – Compressed Air Systems.
