Seal of REFCOM approval October 31st 2007 Hi-line Industries says it is the first Refrigerant Air Dryer supplier to be REFCOM (Register of Companies Competent to Handle Refrigerants) approved.
REFCOM was introduced in 1994 to recognise the role of the employer in providing recovery equipment and maintaining best practice in conformity with the Environmental Protection Act. Hi-line employ the REFCOM Refrigerant Tracking Database to track and control the use of fridge gases on its customers premises.
REFCOM membership has grown steadily and is designed for responsible contractors to demonstrate their competence to clients and other interested parties in the safe handling and recovery of refrigerants.
It is likely that REFCOM will be adopted as the UK registration body for any mandatory registration scheme arising from the implementation of the European F-Gas Regulation.
Many large blue chip companies will only accept contractors on site to do fridge or air conditioning work that are REFCOM approved. All work carried out by Hi-line engineers is in accordance with REFCOM, ACRIB (Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Industry Board) and DTI guidelines.
