Complies with latest standards
November 07th 2007

Leading manufacturer of compressed air treatment equipment, Parker domnick hunter, offers a one-stop breathable air solution which complies with latest standards.

A new British Standard, BS EN 529:2005, was recently introduced to provide guidance on the selection, care and maintenance of respiratory protection equipment and effectively supersedes BS 4275:1997.

The new standard highlights important changes in the quality of breathable air from a compressed air source and states that purification stages must be used to remove water droplets and vapour, oil mist, odours and particulate contamination.

The existing BS EN 12021:1998 standard is referenced to provide guidance on the actual quality of compressed air to be used for breathing apparatus.

The Parker domnick hunter breathing air range, which operates from a compressed air supply, includes portable systems suitable for single person use to full facility protection. In addition, it offers full support and guidance on product selection, system design and testing in accordance with BS EN 12021:1998.

It can now also offer on site testing to BS EN 12021 :1998 with its new Breathing Air test kit incorporating oil mist, water vapour, CO, CO2 and oxygen content analysis.

This comprehensive Breathing Air Purity Test Kit [APTK1] allows for a convenient on the spot indication of compressed air quality and is compact, easy to use and can accurately measure the level of contamination both upstream and downstream of purification equipment.
