Increased availability and reliability
August 15th 2007

AirConnect is an aftermarket service that links compressed air systems to a sophisticated and highly automated 24/7 Internet-based monitoring system.

AirConnect provides increased availability and reliability of operators' compressed air systems. It allows service optimisation - the right service at the right interval.

Features include:

  • Round-the-clock monitoring
  • Data available online, including SPM (shock pulse monitoring) that determines bearing wear as the basis for efficient condition monitoring
  • Automatic warning notifications via e-mail
  • Remote diagnosis
  • Efficient service scheduling – interventions based on requirements
  • Online reports
  • Maintenance included

  • Upgradeable to an Energy Contract – a procedure that conducts a full site assessment and undertakes to reduce overall energy consumption to an agreed target level

The hardware monitors all devices in the compressor room and gives access to the Internet. AirConnect software includes a configuration program for compressor room layout and measurement points during commissioning and it also provides approved access group certificates. AirConnect allows the engineer to set up the compressor house screen so that the data graphics accurately mimic the actual plant layout to assist identification of measurement points

Added value for AirConnect customers comes in the form of increased availability and reliability of the compressed air system plus free software and hardware updates, and extended service intervals. Detailed reports show consumed energy, delivered volume, air pressure, system availability and events.

For customers’ added value, AIROptimizer provides hardware and software for total energy optimisation yet requires minimal investment costs for continual savings. The agreement includes hardware and software, all maintenance costs, and an annual AIRScan (compressed air audit system).

An initial audit is performed to determine the potential savings that can be achieved on the operator’s system and, as a result, many operators find that their savings exceed their previous maintenance costs.
