RoSPA to manage seminar programme for Air-Tech 2008
April 08th 2008

DFA Media, organiser of the Air-Tech 2008 exhibition, has announced that the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) is to manage the seminar programme for its event. Over 40,000 delegates visited the NEC in 2006 to experience the co-location of the top engineering and manufacturing trade exhibitions under one roof. The co-location of Drives & Controls, Electrex, MACH and Subcon attracted professionals from all areas of manufacturing and engineering and the event was hugely successful.

RoSPA already organises regular conferences and seminars across the spectrum of health and safety topics. The organisation is keen to offer opportunities for professionals to keep abreast of current health and safety issues and hear about new initiatives. To this end, RoSPA is working together with DFA Media to produce a comprehensive seminar programme which will run alongside Air-Tech, Plant & Works, Drives & Controls and IFPEX at the NEC event next April.

The main themes of RoSPA’s seminar agenda will be Health and Safety; Plant and Maintenance; Energy Management; Fluid Power; and Communications. “These seminars will form an independent, industry-led programme aiming to update delegates and enable them to make informed choices for their businesses,” says Ian Atkinson of DFA Media. “They will undoubtedly add value to the whole experience of visiting the shows.”

The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents is a registered charity and was established over 80 years ago. By providing information, advice, resources and training, RoSPA is actively involved in the promotion of safety and the prevention of accidents in all areas of life.
