Exhibitor highlights
March 08th 2008

The forthcoming Air-Tech show – www.airtech08.com – is clearly the place where major players in the compressed air industry want to be seen. After a successful debut in 2006, the exhibition is returning to its NEC home confident of its position as the UK’s number one forum for compressed air and pneumatics businesses.

Pneumatic and hydraulic specialist Tom Parker will be showcasing its new air tool technology. Exhausted Air Recycling System, or E.A.R.S., provides a closed loop between the air compressor and the air tool, capturing the exhausted air from the air tool and returning it to the manifold fitted to the compressor. This closed-loop system generates more useable compressed air with less energy, making it a major innovation in pneumatic tool technology.

Compressor manufacturers will be out in force at Air-Tech: Atlas Copco, Bambi, Boge, HPC and Mattei Compressors are among industry leaders confirmed for the show.

Atlas Copco Compressors is featuring a variety of innovative compressed air solutions at Air-Tech 08 incorporating compact design, simple reliability and maximum energy savings. A compressor to meet every need – and guaranteed air quality.

Compressors and air treatment solutions on show include the latest energy-saving Variable Speed Drive (VSD) additions to Atlas Copco’s family of WorkPlace and Class 0 oil-free compressors and blowers, together with a new FD VSD refrigerant dryer.

Also new for the show will be the very latest energy-efficient and space-saving 90kW GA Size 2, a new generation of industrial compressors. An additional attraction is the innovative GN dual-output compressor range that produces nitrogen and compressed air simultaneously.

Mattei Compressors is the UK subsidiary of leading Italian firm ING Enea Mattei SpA, successful developer and manufacturer of Rotary Vane air compressors. Along with its energy-efficient and variable speed drive air compressors, Mattei will be highlighting its new 100 series, a range of cost-effective, industrial quality compressors.

Bambi is one of the UK’s leading compressor names, producing the Compton brand of diaphragm compressors at its Birmingham plant. Specialising in one-off and bespoke designs, the company will be using Air-Tech to showcase its entire range of oil-free compressors, silent air compressors, vacuum pumps, gas circulators and sprinkler system compressors.

Boge Compressors will be exhibiting a new product development alongside samples of its established product range. Boge believes in ongoing research and development and a continuing focus for the company is creating sustainable compressed air energy savings. MD Geoff Taylor says: "We have been implementing a four-step approach to energy management with our customers for some years now, supported by cutting-edge technology and an extensive range of energy-efficient products."

Condensate Systems will be using the Air-Tech platform to launch the latest and largest addition to its Sepura family of condensate cleaners. The new Sepura 1500 is the only separator of its size priced under £1000, bringing legal disposal of condensate within the financial reach of all compressor users. The company will also be exhibiting timed drains, alternative oil-water separator service kits and carbon bags.

A leader in compressed air treatment, Beko Technologies will be showing a number of newly launched products. To monitor the oil content of a compressed air flow, look no further than Oil Control, which enables permanent and accurate monitoring either centrally or at individual points. Medbac allows precise monitoring of air used for medical purposes, to ensure it continues to meet requirements for quality, availability and safety. Beko’s innovative, heat-regenerating Everdry absorption dryers will also be on display, offering customer-orientated, custom-designed drying solutions using high-performance technology.

Norfolk-based Filterworld is a specialist in compressed air filters and vacuum products. Exhibiting a range of compressed air and vacuum pump filters, the company will also be showcasing its VT refrigerated and desiccant air dryers. Indeed, Air-Tech will see the European preview of Filterworld’s new range of VT heatless desiccant air dryers, which offers a high-quality solution to wet compressed air at a low price.

Aerzen is a leader in air and gas conveyance technology, with low pulsation and patented blowers, highly efficient compressors and secure measuring gas meters installed extensively throughout the world. The company has considerable experience in the cement, powder, water, pharmaceutical and chemical industries, specialising in high-volume, low-pressure oil-free machines with high reliability. Aerzen’s ability to offer customers a complete service, with in-house repair and servicing capability, planned maintenance and hire options, puts its stand on the ‘must visit’ list.

The Air-Tech show was launched as a direct response to market and customer feedback, which demanded a UK-wide showcase for air power technology. The exhibition covers the whole supply chain, from compressors to practical applications.
