SSR

Looking for a rugged and reliable air compressor single or 2 stage? Then look no further than Ingersoll-Rand's SSR series & SSR 2-stage series of rotary air compressors. With our integral gear drive system, Intellisys digital control system, and 8000 hour coolant, the SSR & SSR 2 stage is a compressor that you can count on for years to come.

Digital Control System

Capacity control of the compressor is regulated by the Intellisys microprocessor controller and an electric stepper motor. Since there are no pressure switches to drift and very few moving parts, the SSR can maintain plant air pressure without constant maintenance.

Higher Ambient Rating

The SSR operates easily in ambient temperatures up to 46C, even the motor. This means fewer nuisance shutdowns due to summer heat or dirty coolers.

Advanced Airend Design

At the heart of the SSR is our time-proven drive system. This integral gear arrangement is known throughout the industry for its troublefree operation with minimal maintenance.

SSR UltraCoolant

Designed specifically for rotary screw air compressors, UltraCoolant minimizes maintenance costs by maximizing the time between changes: 8,000 hours or 2 years

Energy Efficient Airend

At the heart of the compressor is our time-proven 2-stage airend. By compressing the air in two steps instead of one, energy savings of up to 15% are realized. A lower compression ratio in each stage leads to reduced bearing loads and longer airend life.

NIRVANA

Matching a standard variable speed inverter with a HYBRID PERMANENT MAGNET; coupled with a time-proven airend, Nirvana represents a stunning advance in compressor technology. This new rotary compressor provides unparalleled energy efficiency at all speeds and offers superb reliability. There are no motor bearings, gears, pulleys, belts, couplings or motor shaft seals to wear out, leak or need replacing. In addition, there is nothing to get out of alignment.

  • Energy Efficiency At full load, Nirvana will produce the most air using the least energy; and will continue to do so down to loads as low as 20%. Nirvana runs at 95% efficiency throughout its entire speed range.

OIL FREE

Decades of oil-free rotary compressor experience have taught us how vital the rotor/housing coating is to initial and lasting compressor performance. As a result, "Ultracoat" was designed specifically for this oil-free compressor application, with its unmatched adhesion, durability, and temperature resistance properties the key selection criteria. But the real key for the customer is the optimum long term compressor performance, through minimised coating wear and efficiency degradation. In short, this means more compressed air for operating cost.

Advanced Compression Module Technology

The two-stage compression module, with oil-free rotary screw technology, is the heart of the Sierra package. It makes the Sierra the toughest machine in the business. Stainless steel is used for critical sealing components, as well as for the high pressure rotor set. Combined with the use of the "ultracoating" process for the rotors and housing bores, this module design offers double protection against wear and the effects of corrosion.

Refrigerated Dryers

A new non-cycling, refrigerated air dryer by Ingersoll- Rand, the TS dryer is designed to improve reliability, productivity and efficiency, protect health and safety and lessen environmental impact. To accomplish this, the TS dryer incorporates several key technical innovations. Among these innovations are its 3-in-1 heat exchanger(s), micro-channel condenser, microprocessor and "Smart" drain.

Dessicant Dryers

The ThermoZorb Series dryer is a heatless desiccant dryer made up of two vessels filled with desiccant material, which are assembled together with inlet and outlet manifolds. One chamber is in operation (dryer), while the opposite chamber is regenerating using the pressure swing adsorption (PSA) method. A small volume of the dried compressed air is used to regenerate the saturated desiccant bed by expanding dried air from line pressure to atmospheric pressure, removing the water absorbed by the desiccant material. These dryers are supplied with mounted filters.

Air System Controller

The Air System Controller (ASC) provides a window into the compressor room by making the raw data available to plant operators and managers in formats that are easy to understand plus provide substantial ENERGY SAVINGS. The ASC utilises a Machine Interface (HMI) Software specifically designed by Ingersoll-Rand for Compressed Air Systems. Functions include: Features
